A Little About Me:

For over 25 years, I have interacted with people who have struggled with addiction and trauma in a ministry-related setting, which utilized a spiritual model for the transformation of one’s thoughts to achieve healing, sobriety, and health. However, in my own journey of healing and recovery, and in helping others, I discovered that healing from addiction and trauma requires a broad-range perspective. Therefore, in the interest of helping others effectively, I engaged in higher education to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a special focus on addiction and recovery, which has enabled me to join with Life Recovery Consulting to complete my internship. My Master’s program in Addiction Counseling will begin soon after this internship.

I have been married for 34 years, and I understand the relational challenges that arise from addiction and trauma. I am especially passionate about helping individuals and marriages recover from the pain and trauma of childhood sexual abuse. In an environment where addiction thrives, such painful emotions directly related to trauma are sedated and silenced. Addiction works for this purpose—but only temporarily. Soon, the ramifications and consequences of addiction negatively impact our spiritual, biological, psychological, and social well-being. In recovery, it is crucial that we embark on a journey of discovery, as sobriety requires us to discover the pathway of our addiction, and heal from the pain and trauma it is rooted in.

I would like to encourage you today to utilize the services here at Life Recovery Consulting to help you begin or continue that journey. It is a journey worth taking, because healing, freedom, and abundant life awaits you and your loved ones.
